Notice on the Temporary Reduction of the Premium of Basic Medical Insurance for Enterprise Workers in the City

　　In order to implement and carry out the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instruction on the prevention and control of COVID-19 pandemic, practically relieve enterprises’ burden, and support enterprises to resume work and production, the matters concerning the phased reduction of the premium of basic medical insurance for enterprise workers are hereby notified as follows on the premise of continuously maintaining the level of policy holders’ medical insurance treatment and guaranteeing the stable operation of medical insurance system according to relevant requirements of the Guiding Opinions of the National Healthcare Security Administration, the Ministry of Finance and the State Taxation Administration of the Temporary Reduction of the Premiums of Basic Medical Insurance for Employees (No. 6 [2020] of the National Healthcare Security Administration):

　　I. In February to June 2020, the employers’ contribution rate of the basic medical insurance (including maternity insurance) for enterprise employees shall be 5.25%; and the employees’ contribution rate won’t be adjusted.

　　II. Medical insurance transaction department shall strengthen the coordination with social insurance transaction department to improve the transaction services and ensure the implementation of this policy together.

　　III. The Notice shall be implemented from March 5, 2020 and valid until June 30, 2020.
